The ART of JT Hall
USING ART TO HELP OTHERS

Artist Statement
It is an aspiration that my artwork positively impacts the lives of others, and that my artistic approach and overall methodology continually evolve with this objective in mind. Much of my artwork is inspired by the resilient and beautiful spirit inherent in humans, animals and nature. Despite varying themes/subjects, the depth and contrast of colors in my paintings captivate viewers. This is attributed to the proper application of perspective methodologies and color theory practices involving contrasting colors strategically placed alongside textured applications. I have completed studies of the human figure, faces, hands, nature, close-up views of animals, and abstract expressive art ultimately culminating several series of paintings withing each category.
About JT Hall - Artist
Hello, My Friends: Thanks for visiting my website. Art has been my passion since I was a child. From the age of 5 years old (so my Mom told me), I have been drawing and painting. She actually saved my artwork with the dates written down as the paintings were done. My wonderfully talented Mom would take me to art lessons and allow me to participate with her as a student. As years passed, we both learned and improved still attending art lessons, competing in local competitions and even winning a few. I would continue in Fine Arts as I attended and graduated from The University of North Texas (UNT) in 1986. I took some extra time at UNT to get combined degrees in Industrial Engineering/Graphic Arts Engineering Technology and Fine Arts. I have continued to paint growing my portfolio, winning state and national art competitions, and acquired representation with an Art Gallery in 2014 and another gallery representation in 2025. In late 2015, I was in an eye-opening accident that ultimately changed my approach to creating art. Now retired from my professional engineering management career, I am painting full-time. Hope that everyone enjoys seeing my art and please come see me at Giddens Gallery of Fine Art in Grapevine, TX. Thanks, JT Hall
